I'm now taking recommendations for a new digital camera. Mine spontaneously stopped working the other day. I would like something a little more professional than the Canon Powershot A70 (which was still a good camera, but bugged me because it could take up to 5 seconds to take a picture, guarenteeing that you would miss that one perfect shot). My dream camera is the Canon Digital Rebel XT. Perhaps a more budget-minded option that I'm considering would be something like the Powershot S3. Another thing that bugged me about the A70 was that it could not take pictures in anything less than full daylight without the flash, otherwise the picture would end up being too blurry. Also it tended to over-expose the picture if the flash was on.
Cannon Digital Rebel XT is the best "entry level" camera to buy.
ReplyDeleteYou can get an earlier version of the Digital Rebel off Ebay at pretty good prices; also check Craigslist.
It has all the "easy mode" features and the expandability to use higher-end components, i.e. filters, lenses, external flash, etc.
You'll take more pictures since they are easier to take-- and they will look great!
